Three rows of hand side-stitching secure the border, keeping the edge firm and the filling profile consistent across the full sleeping surface; hand-tied woollen tufts anchor the upholstery layers at regular intervals throughout, preventing settlement and maintaining the depth of feel the mattress has on the first night it is slept on.
